Sella et Choro

Sella et Choro marks Michiel Spijkers' first film, built as a personal bridge between his photography and moving image.
Two separate entities drift toward each other and finally meet, set inside an atmosphere of colourful design furniture; the film ends the moment they connect.
About the project
Sella et Choro was Michiel’s first attempt at film, made to test whether his photographic signature could carry over into moving image. It marked the first step toward a more editorial approach in his largely photography-based practice.
The loose narrative follows two separate entities drifting toward each other inside a space furnished with colourful design pieces; the film ends the moment they meet. Michiel still places it at the very front of his portfolio.
