Kizu

Kizu pushes Michiel Spijkers' fashion photography toward colour, continuing an exploration built with his regular collaborators.
The series leans into darker, more tactile textures, using colour more deliberately than in earlier work, and has since run across multiple online publications and several print magazines.
About the project
Kizu continues directly from I Used to Work Here, made with the same regular team, this time pushing further into colour within Michiel’s fashion photography while exploring a darker, more tactile mood.
The series has been published mainly online, with several placements in offline magazines, and Michiel considers it a clear step forward in the kind of work he wants to make now.
